Give Me Beauty
In Irish Folklore Hawthorn trees were regarded as a powerful symbol of protection, and were often planted near houses to ward off lightning as well as evil spirits. On the dawn of Bealtaine, it was believed that women who bathed in the dew from a Hawthorn blossom would become beautiful, and men who washed their hands in the dew would become skilled craftsmen.
This large textile print from my 2015 collection Living Thing will work very well in a spacious/ modern home. Because of the softness and feminine meaning I feel it could also work very well as a feature in beauty salon or a ladies boutique . It would also be a a very meaningful gift from one strong woman to gift to another..The bespoke wooden frame gives the illusion that she is bathing in a bath.

The meaning behind the piece comes printed on a beautiful scroll.
